Hmm, what makes me laugh? That’s easy; when something is truly funny. I love to laugh and so anything is game.

I am a 7th grade English teacher and I find myself laughing at things that my students do or say on a daily basis. Teenagers are natural comedians because they have no filter and so they often cause me to laugh deep from my gut just by being who they are. The funniest part about it is that they never are trying to make me laugh. They’re usually just expressing themselves and saying how they feel about any particular topic and they somehow make it entertaining and hilarious.
My daughter also makes me laugh and it’s moments that she never means to be funny but they come out that way. It’s unexpected and she’ll just come out and announce random observations or statements and sometimes it really makes me laugh.
Things that are natural, when someone says something that’s funny but they didn’t mean to it to be funny. Moments that aren’t forced, but just find a natural comedic flow. Even in TV shows and movies, the funniest lines to me are the lines that aren’t the punchlines. I find myself laughing alone a lot, but I can’t help what makes me laugh. Those comedic moments in life that can easily fly under the radar take me down every time.
